The Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Heng Swee Keat, recently visited Cambridge CARES to explore the latest decarbonisation activities happening across the research centre. CMCL’s Director, Professor Markus Kraft, helped to host him during his visit, which involved tours of the labs and discussions about the future of sustainability work in Singapore. We are very proud that during the event the DE-WASTE project was showcased to the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency, Mr Nikesh Mehta.
Our industrial partner Lee Kian Chong, Director at BNF Group, Markus, and researcher Shin Zert Phua presented the work done during the project so far and our shared vision for the future.
The project is part of the ongoing effort to decarbonise the waste management sector through streamlining financial/ESG reporting and fleet routing optimisation. Find out more here.
This project has been co-funded by Innovate UK and Enterprise Singapore under a UK-Singapore Collaborative Grant.
