CMCL is pleased to announce that they have received a grant from the 2022 Transport Research and Innovation Grants (TRIG) programme, which is delivered by Connected Places Catapult on behalf of the Department for Transport (DfT). They will be operating as part of the Transport Resilience to Severe Weather and Flooding cohort.
In the project, routing agents that are able to operate under constraints will be integrated into The World Avatar. Flooding events will then be simulated as road closures and the impacts on routing measured using previously unperceived queries, such as isochrones from critical infrastructure or hospitals. Planning access to failed infrastructure sites during extreme weather is critical when predicting the maintenance and resilience of the network.
